The Medical University of Bialystok is a modern and rapidly advancing public university with a mission to serve society through innovative MBBS education, conducting research, development, and implementation works at an international level, and the advancement of clinical activities in line with medical knowledge progress. The MBBS program is recognized by MCI, WHO, and other medical bodies. With 131 titular professors and 162 habilitated doctors out of 888 academic teachers, the University is one of the top universities in Poland. The employees of the University are experts in their fields, serving on scientific committees, editorial offices, and as national and provincial consultants. The MBBS staff is dynamic and creative, with great potential in acquiring external funds for scientific and EU funds and commercializing research. The University is a pioneer and leader in artificial intelligence research in medicine, contributing to the development of large-scale research, including genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, radiomics, and bioinformatics. The University has a state-of-the-art research and MBBS teaching base, including the University Clinical Hospital, Euro regional Pharmacy Center, Didactic and Scientific Center of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Clinical Research Center, Experimental Medicine Center, Innovative Research Center, Bioinformatics Center and Data Analysis, Molecular Imaging Laboratory, and Medical Simulation Center.

The educational offerings at MUB encompass a wide range of subjects, such as Medical Analytics, Biostatistics, Dietetics, Dental Hygiene, Radiology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Cosmetology, Medical, Dental and Speech Therapy, Nursing, Obstetrics, Emergency Medical Services, Dental Techniques, Public Health, as well as doctoral and postgraduate programs. The University has been recognized for its excellence by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, with all three faculties receiving an A category and KNOW status on a four-level scale from 2012-2017. MUB is the only Polish university to have won a prestigious grant for doctoral studies in the COFUND competition under Maria Skłodowska-Curie's Activities in the European Commission's Horizon 2020 Framework Program. In 2019, the University ranked 11th in the competition for a research university. Currently, MUB has nearly 5,500 students enrolled in 16 medical faculties, including over 400 studying in English. The University has attracted students from various countries, such as Norway, Sweden, India, USA, Canada, Germany, Spain, and Saudi Arabia.
