Introduction

Established in 1932, Bashkir State Medical University is a highly esteemed institution for medical education in the Russian Federation and serves as the center for medical and pharmaceutical sciences in the Republic of Bashkortostan. It is one of the largest universities in Russia offering MBBS education and is recognized by WHO, MCI, and various international professional organizations. Bashkir State Medical University is currently offering an affordable MBBS program to students. The university is focused on training doctors for countries near and far, such as India and Nepal. Presently, there are over 8000 MBBS students enrolled at the university, including more than 850 foreign students from 40 different nations. Additionally, the university offers clinical residences, Ph.D. programs, and postgraduate professional training to over 7000 students. The university also includes a medical college that provides vocational secondary education in Nursing and Prosthetic Dentistry.

Bashkir State Medical University boasts a United Center of Simulation-Based Training that is equipped with state-of-the-art simulators. This center allows students, clinical residents, and physicians to enhance their practical skills in neonatology, anesthesiology, resuscitation, obstetrics and gynecology, endoscopy, and neurosurgery. The university also has a Center for primary accreditation of Doctors and pharmacists, which was established in 2016.

The university has established collaborations with prime international educational, scientific, and medical institutions. This collaboration allows students and young doctors to participate in international exchanges, workshops, and joint research projects. It also provides an opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with different cultures and improve their foreign language skills. Currently, Bashkir State Medical University has around 30 foreign partners, including universities, clinics, scientific, and educational centers in Germany, China, USA, Norway, and other countries.

Every year, up to 30 students and young doctors from the university clinic go for a summer internship at universities in Germany and China. Lectures, workshops, and seminars are also held at the university, featuring doctors and professors from other countries.
